Liquid Calories

I used to love iced lemon teas and "healthy" smoothies until I found out how many calories they have. "Ideally, you should receive no calories from beverages," says Cynthia Sass of the American Dietetic Association. (Milk and 100% fruit juice count as food servings.)

Now, I just drink water or kefir. Kefir is a cultured, creamy product with amazing health attributes. It provides probiotic bacteria and yeast, vitamins and minerals, and complete proteins. It creates a healthier digestive system and promotes bowel movement.
