Do You Know Your BMI?

BMI stands for Body Mass Index and is a way to measure one's fitness level. Most experts conclude that a BMI greater than 30 is unhealthy. To find out more, go to:

The AICR report found that body fat is directly linked to six cancers including colorectal and post-menopausal breast cancer. It advises people to stay lean and suggests the means for stopping weight gain like physical activity and a diet based on low-energy-dense foods such as vegetables, fruits and beans. http://www.aicr.org

Exercise becomes more important as we get older, not just to boost metabolism and burn calories, but also to maintain muscle mass, flexibility, and bone density. (Yoga and Pilates) do double or triple duty, a blessing for these busy days. http://deliciouslivingmag.com

I have a BMI of 19.6 and body fat of 20.6%. I am a part-time yoga teacher and founder of Holistic Health Club. I am committed to a healthy lifestyle and want to share my passion for fitness with others. http://www.healthchecksystems.com/bodyfat.htm
